The League of Women Voters of Sudbury is hosting a public forum for candidates running for the two new seats on the Board of Selectmen given final approval by voters this spring. The program will be held at 7:30 p.m. May 29 in Goodnow Library, with candidates available for informal conversations starting at 7:15. The June 25 special election will fill a two-year term expiring in 2015, and a three-year term expiring in 2016, with the staggered terms designed to accommodate the board’s expansion from three to five members. Six candidates have filed papers for both positions, but must declare for one or the other by 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to a posting on the town’s website, www.sudbury.ma.us. Audience members can submit written questions to the candidates that evening, and questions can also be submitted in advance by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org until 5 p.m. on May 28.
