Local officials last week posted the May 29 Special Town Meeting warrant, which covers 18 articles related to the current fiscal year. The issues facing Town Meeting members include proposals to amend various town and zoning bylaws; require residents to clear snow from sidewalks bordering their property; authorize the Board of Selectmen to modify an easement on Trapelo Road for storm and drainage water; transfer town-owned property at 20 Flanders Road to the Municipal Light Board for a new electrical substation; and institute a one-year moratorium on demolishing and replacing single-family houses in a residential zone with anything other than a similar one-family dwelling. The session will convene at 7 p.m. in Belmont High School’s auditorium. The warrant is available online at www.town.belmont.ma.us.
