Sweatt Beach opening for the season

Sweatt Beach on Lake Pearl off Woolford Road will open for the summer season June 15 and remain open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting, through Aug. 25. The beach has undergone several improvements in the past few years thanks to projects by local Boy Scouts and new fencing purchased with money from the Sweatt Fund. Seasonal family passes are available to Wrentham residents for $125, and Norfolk and Plainville residents for $150. Daily fees are $4 for adults and $3 for children, regardless of residency. Passes will be available for purchase at the beach beginning June 15. For more information, call the Wrentham Recreation Department at 508-384-5427.
