Animal shelter seeks volunteers

The Medfield Animal Shelter is in need of volunteers ages 18 and older to help clean the shelter and care for the animals, among other duties. Volunteers are asked to make a commitment to work at least two times per month for several hours at a time. New volunteers will be trained and will work with experienced volunteers for several weeks. Tasks include feeding breakfast and dinner to the animals, cleaning the shelter, driving animals to veterinarian appointments, landscaping and maintenance, and administrative work. The volunteer-run facility off West Street receives animals from the animal control officers of Medfield and Dover, and does not euthanize.
