Town officials have redesigned the municipal website, www.needhamma.gov, to make it more user friendly for residents, said Selectman Dan Matthews. The new design, which was launched late last month, features icons providing access to meeting agendas and minutes, town government job postings, and permit applications, and a “Hot Topics” feature takes visitors to a page with documents that explain the most talked-about issues. The site also features important documents, such as Town Meeting warrants, in the “Publications” folder under the “Town Government” tab. Also, the site’s “Help Center” button provides a menu of frequently asked questions, such as tax rates and how to register to vote. Matthews said the website’s developers will be introducing an online bill payment feature for parking tickets, real estate and excise taxes, and water bills. Residents are still welcome to call or visit Town Hall during business hours, he said.
