Recycle electronics, appliances Saturday


An electronics and appliance recycling event will be held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 34 Gold St., on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For a fee, unwanted electronic items can be dropped off. The fee is $5 for each computer, computer monitor, stereo, DVD player, and other electronic gear being dropped off. The fee is $10 for washers, dryers, televisions, appliances, refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, lawn mowers, snow blowers, and exercise equipment. Participants are asked to remove gas tanks or canisters from any outdoor equipment. Large wooden console televisions will cost $20 to recycle.
