‘Whatever Theater Festival’ returns

The Franklin Performing Arts Company will present its sixth annual “Whatever Theater Festival’’ from Wednesday through Saturday. William Shakespeare’s “Richard III” will be performed on the town common Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m., while an eclectic series of one-act plays will be performed Wednesday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts on Main Street. The Saturday performance will be followed by a soiree featuring fun and informal presentations of unusual talents. All performances are free, with donations to the performing arts company accepted.
