The Reagle Music Theatre is wrapping up its 45th anniversary summer season with an eight-performance run of “Les Miserables,” the popular Broadway show set during the French revolution that won nine Tony Awards, including “Best Musical.” The production, which opens Thursday and continues through Aug. 18, features many Broadway veterans, including choreographer David Hugo and tenor Ivan Rutherford, who has performed the lead role of Jean Valjean more than 2,000 times. Based on the epic novel by Victor Hugo, “Les Miserables” presents the story of Valjean’s unjust imprisonment and lifelong struggle for redemption despite being pursued relentlessly by an obsessed police inspector. Tickets range from $35 to $57, and are available by phone at 781-891-5600, in person at the box office, at 617 Lexington St., or online at www.reaglemusictheatre.org, where patrons may now choose their seats using an interactive chart.
