Remy Fragola , Medfield: The 6-foot-4 dual threat on the mound and at the plate went 3 for 3 and got Medfield out of multiple jams on the hill to help his team beat Bellingham 1-0 and win the Central Mass. Senior Babe Ruth World Series.

Dan Mantoni , Milford: American Legion Post 59’s shortstop knocked in the game-tying and game-winning runs to beat Braintree 3-1 in eight innings in the program’s Intrastate Tournament.


Kevin Martinis , Milford: The Bellingham resident was named MVP of the Intrastate Tournament after hitting a solo home run to help beat Norwood, 10-5, and then had a two-run single on Wednesday night to help Post 59 beat Lowell in the championship game, 5-2.

Dante Taylor , Newton: The shortstop for Newton SouthEast’s Little League team went 3 for 3 with a two-run home run and three RBIs to help beat Rye, N.H., 9-2, in the New England Regional.

Ryan Wardwell , Hudson: Post 100’s third baseman socked a two-run tie-breaking double in the bottom of the fifth inning and later scored the game-winning run to beat Ashland, 6-5. Hudson won its first-ever District 5 Chairman’s Cup.
