New time, day for Town Meeting

Starting next spring, Town Meeting will be held on a weeknight, rather than the daytime Saturday sessions of past years. The Board of Selectmen recently voted to hold the annual session at 7 p.m. April 1 at the Bromfield School. The change is an effort to increase what has been low turnouts, Town Clerk Janet Vellante noted. This spring, 286 of the town’s 3,978 registered voters took part in Town Meeting, she said.
