Coliform bacteria cited in water report


Coliform, a naturally occurring bacteria that can cause gastrointestinal problems, was found in analyses of water supplies in town last year, according to the water district’s most recent quality report. The occurrences of the bacteria were the only infractions cited within a broad range of areas in the report on the town’s drinking-water supply.
