Programs on Korean War, Shaker Village

The Shirley Historical Society is hosting a pair of programs this month. On Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the society’s museum at 182 Center Road, there will be a program and display on the community’s role in the Korean War. Residents with a friend or relative who participated in the war are invited to contact the society and share their story. Then on Sept. 15, at 12:30 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the Shirley Shaker Village; reservations must be made in advance by e-mailing mail@shirleyhistory.org. For more information, visit the historical society’s website, www.shirleyhistory.org.
