A groundbreaking ceremony for the Ayer Shirley Regional High School building project will be Sept. 19 at noon. The $56.6 million project, which is being reimbursed up to 70 percent by the Massachusetts School Building Authority, was approved by voters last November. Construction has already started; next week’s event will provide a formal ceremony for state officials, high school students, faculty and staff, and officials from both towns.
