Symphony opens season Saturday

The Lexington Symphony will perform works by four classical composers in its season opener at 8 p.m. Saturday in Cary Memorial Hall, 1605 Massachusetts Ave. The not-for-profit ensemble will feature Bach, Stravinsky, Britten, and Mozart in the first of six concerts reflecting this season’s theme, “Music of Masters.’’ A conductor’s talk at 7 p.m. will set the stage for the program. Tickets can be purchased at www.lexingtonsymphony.org or by telephone at 781-523-9009; season subscriptions are being offered at a discount through Saturday.
