Four women serve as officials at Pop Warner game

55, Wayland, officiating for two years

A passionate follower of the game since high school, the 55-year-old Long Island native has worked the sideline chains at Wayland High, where her son Matthew is a team captain this fall. The two-year official works Pop Warner games on weekends, as well as freshman assignments St. Mark’s, Groton, the Fenn School, among others, etc.

Julie Howell

23, Abington, officiating for three years

A former high school track & field athlete at Abington High, she was assigned her first Pop Warner game three years ago, as the line judge. The 23-year-old Bridgewater State graduate (communications) also officiates college lacrosse.

Jenn O’Neill-Reale

35, Newton, officiating 10 years

The 35-year-old Medford native has been an official for 10 years. She suited up in two women’s leagues, for the Bay State Warriors and the New England Storm.
