Race to benefit Orchard House

The eighth annual road race to benefit Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House will be held Sunday, with the event offering 5K and 10K routes for runners and a 5K for walkers. Registration at the Alcott Elementary School starts at 10:30 a.m.; the starter’s horn will sound at noon. Uta Pippig, a three-time Boston Marathon winner and two-time Olympian who serves as the event’s honorary chairwoman, is expected to attend. For more information, visit www.louisamayalcott.org.
