As applications stream in across the state for medical marijuana businesses, Stow officials are eyeing the trend warily, as they put forward plans for a temporary moratorium on the establishments until November 2014. The Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Oct. 8 to have residents weigh in on the temporary ban, which is designed to buy the town time until it can formulate a zoning bylaw setting boundaries on the establishments. The moratorium would have to be approved by Town Meeting to take effect.
