The Norfolk Community League is accepting nominations for its Person of the Year award through Friday. The candidates can be a coach, teacher, neighbor, volunteer, or anyone who makes the town a better place. A signed letter, of 500 words or less, detailing why the person should be selected may be submitted at the Norfolk Public Library, or by e-mail to nclpersonoftheyear.2013@gmail.com. The league’s board will select three finalists, with the winner to be decided through a vote by town residents, children included; ballots can be filed at the library or online at www.nclgala.com, according to a posting on the group’s website, www.norfolkcommunityleague.org. Residents can vote once between Oct. 14 and 25.
