The Friends of the Ashland Public Library will continue its documentary film and discussion series with examinations of the science of evolution from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Oct. 22. This week’s session in the Front Street library’s community room will cover coevolution and natural selection, examining the process by which plants, animals, and insects affect each other’s evolution. The Oct. 22 film, on gene flow and genetic drift, looks at the movement of genes from one population to another, such as by pollen.
