Panel will lead search for new superintendent

Acton-Boxborough Regional district officials are forming a committee to lead the search for a new superintendent, after Stephen Mills announced last month that he will be retiring next summer. The 14-member search panel will consist of a central office administrator, a principal, parents, teachers and School Committee members. It is being set up by the Acton-Boxborough Transitional School Committee, which was created by the two towns to oversee the process of extending their regional arrangement to cover students from prekindergarten through high school.
