Democrats party in the garden Monday

Democratic gubernatorial and lieutenant gubernatorial candidates will be attending the Brookline Democratic Town Committee’s garden party from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Deborah Goldberg, 37 Hyslop Road . Gubernatorial hopefuls who will speak at the event include state Treasurer Steve Grossman, state Attorney General Martha Coakley, former Obama administration homeland security official Juliette N. Kayyem, and Dr. Joe Avellone, an executive at Waltham biotechnology services company Parexel International Corp. Lieutenant governor candidates Mike Lake and Steve Kerrigan also will be at the party, as well as state Auditor Suzanne Bump and local elected officials. Tickets are $10.
