Heritage Day, an annual celebration of the town’s history, gets started Sunday with the Rotary Club’s 15th annual Light-Up Southborough event. Residents are encouraged to drop off carved pumpkins from 4 to 6 p.m. in front of the Southborough Library, and return to view the display from 7 to 9 p.m. The festivities will continue Monday with a parade at 10 a.m. followed by activities and attractions, including vendor and exhibit booths, games, music, and demonstrations, at St. Mark’s Field until 3:30 p.m. There will also be an open house at the Fire Department, and a book and bake sale at the library. For more information, contact Recreation Department director Doreen Ferguson at dferguson@southboroughma.com, or visit the department’s page on the town website, www.southboroughtown.com.
