Dispose of hazardous waste Saturday

Marlborough and Hudson will hold a joint household hazardous-waste collection Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the former landfill site at 402 Hudson St. in Marlborough. Items like antifreeze, propane tanks, computers, pool chemicals and oil-based paint can be dropped off, while other items, including tires, medical waste, and latex paint, will not be accepted. Police officers will also be on hand to collect surplus or expired prescription medications. A list of acceptable and unacceptable items can been seen on the city’s website, www.marlborough-ma.gov.
