Walk to focus on Pine Hawk archeology

The Acton Memorial Library and the Friends of Pine Hawk are celebrating Archeology Month with a series of events, including a walk at 10 a.m. Saturday led by site preservation specialist Linda McElroy. The Friends of Pine Hawk, founded in 2002, seeks to increase understanding and awareness of the archeological and human stories behind the Native American artifacts discovered when the South Acton sewer treatment plant was built. Participants should park and meet at the end of Wheeler Lane off Main Street (Route 27). The rain date is next Sunday. For more information, call the library at 978-929-6655.
