Local shuttle service starts Monday

Residents will be offered a bus shuttle service in town beginning Monday morning. The result of a project between the Worcester Regional Transit Authority and the town, the shuttle bus will run between the commuter rail station and the office park area on Computer Drive and Research Drive every weekday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The timing will be coordinated with the commuter train schedule; specific information is being sent out in the mail to residents. There will also be an additional shuttle that will run from the McDonald’s restaurant on Route 30 to Westborough High School, with stops at the town’s senior center and Baystate Commons. The fare will be $1.50, or 75 cents for seniors, people with a disability, and children ages 5 through 13 who are accompanied by an adult; ages 4 and younger ride for free. For more information, call Jonathan Church at the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission at 508-459-3316.
