Library to host fitness sessions

February is fitness month at the Dover Town Library, with qigong and Zumba classes on Monday evenings and a special “Night of Fitness” on Feb. 4 from 4 to 9 p.m. featuring certified personal trainers Daniel Edelston and Rob Howitt and health coach Jennifer Frank. They will share their professional services free of charge, including weight-loss tips that they say have helped clients lose an average of 30 pounds in 12 weeks, 15 minute reiki sessions, and eight-minute high intensive interval training workouts. An all-ages group training class, designed to burn calories, increase endurance, and build muscle, will be held at 7:30 p.m. In addition, they will provide exercises to help alleviate lower back, knee, hip and shoulder pain, and a four-round cardio-boxing session to relieve stress. The library is restarting weekly qigong classes for seniors on Feb. 3 at 5:30 p.m., to be followed at 6:30 by Zumba classes taught by Jessica Kamin for people of all ages. Qigong classes are ongoing, and Zumba is scheduled to run through March. All classes are free of charge.
