The Millis Lions Club held its annual Bowling for Blindness Prevention event, a fund-raiser for efforts to help people with poor eye health, on Jan. 11 at Ryan Family Amusements on Route 109. “Our goal is to have this bowling alley full every year so that we can continue to bring sight to everyone,” said Debbie Hayes, the club’s first vice president. All of the proceeds went to the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund, which promotes cutting-edge research and protocols addressing eye-health problems.
