Residents and business owners are invited to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday about the Solarize Massachusetts grant program, a statewide initiative that promotes green energy. The towns of Lexington and Bedford were recently chosen to join in the program, which is cosponsored by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and the state’s Department of Energy Resources. The program provides incentives for installing solar energy systems through a tiered pricing system, with the costs reduced as more residents and businesses take part. At Wednesday’s meeting, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cary Memorial Building, 1625 Massachusetts Ave., r epresentatives from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center will provide details about the program, and how participants can take advantage of federal and state solar-power initiatives.
