Selectman David Gavin was the only person to take out nomination papers for the May 6 town election as of early last week, Town Clerk Michelle Sokolowski said. Two seats on the Board of Selectmen will be on the ballot, along with two seats on the School Committee, a library trustee position, and the town moderator position. One of the selectmen’s seats had been held by James A. Buscemi, who resigned from the board last month. Sokolowski also said School Committee member Ed Mullin has told her that he does not plan to run for reelection. The last day to obtain nomination papers from the town clerk’s office is March 14.
