All-clear report on fire scare

When a building at Northbrook Village caught on fire on Jan. 18, residents on the scene told firefighters that everyone was accounted for. But the dispatcher back at the station got a call at about the same time that a person was still trapped in the building. The Fire Department cleared up the confusion this week on the town website, saying that the individual believed to have been trapped inside was actually safe and sound next door. The fire began after a snowplow struck a ground-mounted transformer at the residential complex on Pleasant Street.
