Chocolate gala to take bite out of hunger

The Brookline Rotary Club is sponsoring its fourth annual “Have a Heart: A Chocolate Extravaganza” next Sunday to benefit local food pantries. The fund-raiser will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in Pine Manor College’s Founders Hall. Last year’s event raised more than $10,000 for the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry and other local organizations working to feed the hungry, according to club members. Local vendors will provide chocolate treats along with food, such as sushi and pizza. A silent auction will also be held showcasing goods and services. Tickets are $15, or $10 for seniors and children; for more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.chocolate2014.eventbrite.com .
