Council awards record number of grants


The town’s Cultural Council will award 30 grants to cultural improvement projects this year, the largest number it has ever been able to award. The grants total $21,100 and are being given to a variety of organizations and activities . The council is part of a network of 329 local cultural councils in Massachusetts, supporting community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities. A reception for the winners will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Senior Center.
