Army Specialist Robert J. Thurston, son of Robert and Sharon Thurston of Newton, and a 2002 graduate of Newton North High School.

Army Private Kyle F. Young, formerly of Newtonville. He is the son of Kathleen and Bill Young of Vermont and a 2012 graduate of Newton North High School.
