Running from zero to 5K

The Hopkinton Running Club is again organizing its popular Couch to 5K Learn to Run training program, which will start at 8 a.m. April 6 at the Hopkinton High School outdoor track. The sessions will be held every Sunday, with the exception of Memorial Day weekend, leading to the Sharon Timlin 5K Road Race on June 21. The training program is designed for all levels of runners, from novices to those who “run a little bit” and former runners who want to complete a 5 kilometer event, according to the club’s website. The program costs $75 and includes a T-shirt and club membership for one year. Registration is limited to 60 on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be done on the club’s website, www.runhopkinton.org.
