    GlobeWest: Players of the Week, Top 10 boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams

    Joey Buduo, Shrewsbury: With a slick move on a Westfield defender in the Division 2 Central/West title game, the leading scorer in the Midland-Wachusett League’s A Division notched the game-winner in double overtime, marking his second straight game with a hat trick.

    Anna Downs, Wayland: Standing strong in net, the junior goalie made nine saves, including three from point-blank range, as her team prevailed, 16-5, over Medfield in the Division 2 East final.


    Eric Holden, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional: The sophomore attack has been scoring in bunches for the Warriors, tallying six goals and five assists against Westford in the Division 1 North semifinal, after notching five goals and three assists in the previous round against North Andover.

    P.J. Kendall, Dover-Sherborn: The junior goalie had a double-digit save effort as the Raiders knocked off Groton-Dunstable Regional, 15-4, in the Division 3 Central/East boys’ sectional championship game. Through the first three rounds of the postseason, the netminder allowed only 11 goals.

    Jackie Planchet and Sophia Turchetta, Bromfield School: The top scoring duo in the state didn’t fail to shine in the Division 2 Central/West final, accounting for nine of the Trojans’ goals in their 10-8 win over Grafton.
