Concert to help restore pipe organ

A benefit concert will be held at 2 p.m. next Sunday in Memorial Hall, 30 School St., to raise funds for the restoration of the 1873 pipe organ at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. The concert will feature pianist Roxana Bajdechi and cellist Eleanor Blake. Although admission is free, organizers are suggesting a donation of $20; the proceeds will help restore the pipe organ, made by Steer and Turner in Western Massachusetts. The concert will include Beethoven’s Sonata in C major (Op. 102, No. 1), and Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor (Op. 129).
