Summer concerts start Thursday

Southborough Youth and Family Services and the town’s Recreation Department are teaming up again for their second annual summer music series, which kicks off Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Neary Field. The family-friendly event will feature a free concert by Soul Custody, a contemporary jazz band. The proceeds from concession sales, featuring dinners, snacks and desserts, will support Send a Kid to Camp, a program that supplies full or partial support to assist local youths who otherwise could not afford to go to summer camp. Families are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs. Visit www.southborough.recdesk.com to view the upcoming schedule for the summer.
