The opening celebration for the town’s yearlong tercentennial festivities takes place Saturday at Littleton Middle School, with the Littleton Rotary Club hosting a breakfast from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. The gathering will include David Whitcomb’s “Then and Now” presentation, and a collection of town artifacts and a 50-year-old time capsule will be on display. At 11 a.m., there will be a dedication ceremony on Alumni Field with a flag-raising accompanied by “The Star-Spangled Banner,’’ and the firing of muskets.
