Southborough hires economic development coordinator

Southborough has hired its first economic development coordinator. According to an announcement by the town, Pam DiGiovanni will work to enhance the economic vitality of the local business community and its collaboration with local government and residents. She will be working closely with the 10-member Economic Development Committee. DiGiovanni has more than 13 years of experience with economic and community development, outreach, project management, and program development within the public sector. Her previous role was as the economic development program manager for the Department of Transportation. “She brings a real passion and experience for economic development,’’ Town Administrator Mark Purple said in the announcement. “I appreciate Town Meeting funding this new position, and I believe Pam is going to be able to help the town further its efforts to strengthen the relationship between Town Hall and our local businesses.’’
