The Wellesley Municipal Light Plant will be trying out new lighting options for neighborhood street lights this fall. In anticipation of that project, the Natural Resources Commission will host a workshop to help residents evaluate lighting options. “Bright Ideas: A Workshop on Smart Outdoor Lighting’’ will be held Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wellesley Free Library. The workshop will help residents learn how to evaluate different types of lighting for the neighborhood and home and how to use lighting to improve safety.
