The Concord Council on Aging will be hosting District Attorney Marian Ryan on Friday, Oct. 6 as she talks about her countywide initiative to educate seniors on how to properly manage their prescription medications, keep medication safe from theft, properly dispose of unused or expired medication, and identify signs of drug addiction in loved ones. The event will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the Harvey Wheeler Community Center, 1276 Main St. The program is designed to help seniors understand opioids, educate them about the problem, and address issues such over-prescribing and prescription drug use as a gateway to heroin.
