A food tasting, an artists’ group show, and a concert

An Arlington chef serves up one of his establishment’s specialties at a previous Taste of Arlington event.

The Town of Arlington and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce will present an evening of tastings from several local restaurants Tuesday, Oct. 3. The event will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Arlington Town Hall. The night will include live jazz entertainment and a wine pull, or drawing for wine, sponsored by Mystic Wine Shoppe. ArtSpace, a community arts center, is inviting people to attend its annual ArtSpace Artists’ Group Show at 63 Summer St. in Maynard. The group show is open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Oct. 13. Those who attend can visit artists’ studios and view the work of more than 70 artists, including painters, sculptors, photographers, and writers. The artists will be free to speak with and answer questions. There will be free parking and the space is wheelchair accessible. For more information, go to www.artspacemaynard.com.

Gore Place will be hosting a concert in the Carriage House Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Sinti Rhythm, an acoustic group, will perform a hybrid of jazz and swing music at 52 Gore St. in Waltham.
