The Plainville Open Space Committee is inviting residents to take a survey on open space and recreation intended to help the town update its 10-year-old plan. A revised plan will enable town officials to address changing needs on open space, farmlands, cultural assets, and passive and active recreational areas, and will also make the town eligible for grants administered by the state for land acquisition and preservation and for recreation projects such as trails, parks, and fields. The deadline for completing the survey is Wednesday, Nov. 22. Paper copies of the survey can be picked up and dropped off at the selectmen’s office at town hall, the senior center, and the public library, or can be mailed to Town Hall, P.O. Box 1717, Plainville, MA 02762. To take they survey online, visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/Plainville_OSRachel Lebeaux can be reached at rachel_lebeaux.com.
