The 47th annual Westborough Community Thanksgiving Dinner will take place Thursday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall. The free community event is open to the public. There will be turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce, apple cider, and pumpkin pie, and a variety of other desserts. The Framingham Public Library will host a video game free play on Friday, Nov. 24, from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be a selection of systems and video games in the Costin Room of the library. Sherborn Library is hosting a video game design workshop run by Empow Studios, on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m in the Sherborn Community Center. The class will cover storytelling, pixel art, and object-oriented programming. It is geared for kids in second through seventh grades. There is limited space and sign ups are required. Belmont Savings Bank will hold its 27th annual Turn on the Town celebration on Thursday, Nov. 30. The festivities will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Leonard Street in Belmont Center. Santa will light the tree at 6:20 p.m. and then ride to the bank to pose for free photos from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Bank employees will be handing out hot chocolate outside the bank, and there will be a petting zoo inside the bank’s executive garage. Attendees will also have the chance to win holiday prize stockings. Residents are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items or unwrapped toys to be donated to the Belmont Food Pantry.
