Boston School Superintendent Carol R. Johnson took no disciplinary action when one of her headmasters, Rodney Peterson, was arrested for assaulting his wife in June 2011. But Johnson provided a glowing letter of recommendation for the judge who later sentenced Peterson to a year of probation and participation in a batterer’s program.
