Huntsman seeks N.H. boost

Trailing in polls, looks to win one vote at a time

Jon Huntsman, 51, has the resume of a strong candidate. He served as an ambassador to China under President Obama and Singapore under President H.W. Bush. He was a two-term governor who cut taxes and grew jobs. Yet he has been unable to distinguish himself in a crowded Republican field. Huntsman’s polling numbers remain stuck in the single digits. By Sept. 30, he raised just $2.2 million - and matched that from his own pocket. The resulting lack of media attention has voters wondering if he can win the nomination.
