Mitt Romney, long accused of flip-flopping on issues, is being given a run for his money by another GOP presidential candidate who shares the same liability: Newt Gingrich.

Even a stone in water shifts with the currents. Asking, no demanding, absolutes on super complex issues over a period of 20 years would require the death of the candidate to prevent evolution of his thought processes. That great man Tip O'Neil, worked with that devil incarnate from California, Ronald Reagan and his "shifts" were viewed as compromises needed to govern. Righteous newspapers and liberal loving media moguls who demand more movement toward the political center now throw mud at anyone who dares to change/compromise from an earlier position assumed to govern the nation. My political hero - yes, I voted for him - Barack Obama, couldn't even find the rock in the water to stand on. His entire life is one huge technicolor nightmare of subterfuge and hidden political agendas. Paint me stupid! So, go ahead and launch cruise missals at Newt and Mitt. You will miss them because they are intelligent enough to move with the tide and find ways to govern a diverse and multi-ethnic population. Either of these decent Americans would be more trustworthy and capable than Mr. Obama who comes to us with his sophomoric training acquired in the Chicago community organizers union.
Flip flopping seems to cover all: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/nilegardiner/100083104/the-u-turn-president-barack-obama-top-ten-flip-flops/
This is a classic example of short American voter's memories! I stress American because it is an American phenomenon. European papers are questioning the American voter self-flagellation in choosing leaders. There appears no end to it.
Compared to Newt and to Reagan, Mitt Romney hasn't flip-flopped at all...
