Palestinians dismayed by Gingrich remarks

The Jewish Channel, a U.S. cable TV network, released excerpts of the interview on Friday in which the former House speaker said Palestinians were not a people because they never had a state and because they were part of the Ottoman Empire before the British mandate and Israel’s creation.

I'd like to give Gingrich "a chance to go many places." The kowtowing of this group to the powerful Jewish lobby was disheartening to watch. They completely ignore the fact there are legitimate disagreements here, instead they just demonize the Palestinians as compulsive trouble makers. Is this going to help resolve the conflict?

Hmm, sounds like a bit of a slap but maybe the Americans were invented too.

The simple fact is Gingrich is 100% correct. Why is truth so controversial???

Arafat created the PLO in the 1960s to destroy Israel. That is the substance of the Palestinian identity. What other people defines itself by its desire to destroy another people?
