ATF agent slain in drugstore robbery

An off-duty federal law enforcement agent shot to death while confronting a robber at a pharmacy where he was picking up prescriptions for himself and his elderly father, police said Sunday. John Capano, an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, had gone to Charlie’s Family Pharmacy in Seaford, Long Island, on Saturday afternoon.
