The super pacs will influence a presidential election for the first time, they already have. Romney supporting superpacs have made, and will make a massive difference this year. Know what else is going on? Just as some dictatorial regimes allow only news that supports them, and suppresses opposing views, the same is going in in parts of our own country! There are locations in red states right here in the USA where you cannot get PBS or Comedy Central on your TV. Even today the Colbert Report is not available everywhere. Hotels and motels are guilty of picking only certain stations. The folks in these areas parrot fox news sound bites, and never hear an opposing view.
